What we know about MG hybrids
MG's plug-in and electric models are selling well here and the servicing skills have not kept up. An MG HS PHEV and a ZS EV need genuine high-voltage handling: safe isolation, insulation testing, and real capacity measurement. Reading a fault code from the body module and calling that a diagnosis is not good enough on a car with a several-hundred-volt pack.
We measure usable capacity and state of health properly, identify module-level faults where they exist, and inspect the charging chain as well as the battery. Where a pack is evenly degraded we will say replacement is the only realistic route rather than selling a repair that will not hold.
